THE EXHIBIT
Cambridge Open Studios went really well. both Rhiannon and i had a great weekend, and more importantly the sun shone like crazy! here are some photos:

left to right: Magdalene Blossom, Downing Street to Silver Street

left to right: Behind Priory Street (two VEs), A New View of the Moon - Tillyard Way

clockwise from top left: Reality Checkpoint II, Gwydir Street, Reality Checkpoint I, King’s Shadows (four VEs), Cambridge Market Square.
thank you to everyone who came along to say hello, and also to those who helped it be such a successful weekend. maybe see you all next year!

I SPY
something I’m working on at the moment, which might be something to do with my favourite band of all time.

SNEAKY PEEKS
so. i haven’t done any work. in a long long time. but here are some photos which i am trying to get my head around at the moment. if i stare at them long enough, maybe they’ll turn into works of art?

TRICKY THINGS
balancing being ill, working eight days in a row, and trying to get on with life is hard. and all i seem to be doing is giving myself hard projects. and tricky stencils.

we have finally gotten hold of Cambridge Open Studios brochures, and even my new business cards came through the post this week. it’s just around the corner! ooh-ee.

STORY BOOKS & MAPS
i’ve been busy at work. which means little time for Open Studios things. but yesterday, home-ridden with some sort of throat infection that i fear i obtained at a gig the night before, i got down to work and made new map hearts and King’s College prints!

all the while listening to Story Books. (they’re brilliant). today i do the same, and then go support Nic Farrell at Mercy & Wild (and hope the throat pain goes away)!

PAINT, AND RAIN, AND BROKEN KNIVES
today we endured three thunder/hail storms, i broke a knife blade or two, and therefore had to trapse to town in said weather for a new one. but after finding blueberries half price, and a delicious lot of chocolate ice cream on my trip to town [one can be easily persuaded to procrastinate], i have managed to finally complete a few things for Cambridge Open Studios. and all of a sudden i am excited!
cutouts aplenty

watercolour charts everywhere

and small, small, untidy spaces

but that is where the magic happens.
